Tobacco control campaign for schools

Department of Health & Family Welfare conducted anti tobacco school activities on tobacco control laws and awareness campaign in various schools under Kohima district. An official bulletin informed that first phase of school activities under national tobacco control programme during the September third week covered seven schools. Deputy Director & State Programme Officer (NTCP) Dr. Hotokhu Chishi, & District Nodal Officer (NTCP) Kohima district, Dr. Atsüngla were the main resource persons during the week-long programme. An official bulletin informed that awareness programme for Fern Wood High School, Stella High School, CD King High School, Govt. High School Jotsoma and Mezhür Higher Secondary School will be conducted on last week of September and first week of October in Kohima district. Any schools interested in tobacco control activities in their schools in Kohima district have been informed to contact the department at 9436437809, 9862859298 and 9856912802.
