Longleng Adhoc Teacher’s plea DIMAPUR: Based on the cabinet notification EDS/1-5 2001ed Kohima August 23 2006 the government of Nagaland through notification no EDS MISC -1/2006 dated Ocober 3 authorised the Director of school education to constitute a committee for verification of o appointment order of both teaching and non teaching staff Longleng. However, a release issued by Longleng District Adhoc Teacher’s Association. stated that the committee verified 8 different groups as genuine, but refused to give them extension orders. In this regard Longleng District Adhoc Teacher’s Association has called a meeting on October 1 at 9am at Longleng for all those whose name are not included in the extension order. AOE DGM supports demand DIMAPUR: Association of Engineers, Department of Geology has extended support and solidarity to the demands of AOE, ANDESSA, NPWD and requested the state government to consider the charter of demands at the earliest in the interest of the public. PMEGP forms for Kiphire DIMAPUR: Functional Manager, District Industries Centre has informed that Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) forms will be issued from September 29 to October 1 during office hours. Last date for submission of forms will be October 12. International day of older persons DIMAPUR: Department of Social Welfare will organize a State Level function to observe International Day of Older Persons on October 1 at Kohima with chief minister, Neiphiu Rio as chief guest. Rio will flag off walkathon at 7am from Old MLA Hostel junction to Red Cross Office junction. Awards will be presented to distinguished Senior Citizens in all district/state level functions and free health check-up camps for senior citizens would also be organised by Health & Family Welfare Department on the occasion. ‘Angler’s Abode’ fishing project for public DIMAPUR: An amusement fishing project ‘Angler’s Abode’ was inaugurated at Burma Camp area in Dimapur on September 25. Proprietor, Rajkumar Paira has informed that there will be two sessions for fishing from 7am to11am and 1pm to 5pm. Public interested in fishing have been invited to fish in the pond by paying Rs.50 for four hours. Northern Sumi Union Dimapur DIMAPUR: The proposed annual gathering of the Northern Sumi Union Dimapur (NSUD) has been postponed to October 10. Union general secretary informed that the meeting was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances and further informed all government servants, and students under Dimapur area including Northern Sumi Church workers under WSBAK to attend the meeting. NPF wokha DIMAPUR: A consultative meeting of NPF Wokha division has been convened on September 29 at 11am at the divisional conference hall with all divisional office bearers, Presidents of A/C’s, frontal organisations including farmers Wing. All CEC members and adviser to NPF have been requested to attend the meeting.
