A delegation of Withee Mission International arrived Nagaland on September 23 and in association with Western Sumi Baptist Church Association and Nagaland Baptist Church Council the mission is conducting medical camps in villages as part of ‘Withee Medical Mission in Nagaland’.
The team comprising of about 25 delegates is led by Dr. Luke and Dr. Oh Jun Yeol. On September 26 accompanied by WSBAK staff including its executive secretary, S. Vitoshe Swu conducted a medical camp at Hevishe village where more than 260 people with different ailment were treated and medicines distributed free of cost.
Besides conducting medical camps the Korean delegates also distributed sweets and balloons to children. The team conducted another medical camp at Hozukhe village on September 27. Hundreds of sick people from surrounding villages especially children and old aged people were who are not able to get access to proper medical treatment were benefited.
The visiting team is assisted by local medical officers, Dr. Mughavi and Dr. Anitoli. On Monday, the team will hold a camp at Suhoi village and delegates will depart on September 30. It may be mentioned that in the year 2007, the Withee Mission International had also conducted a similar camp.
