MTSU condemns assault
MON: Mon Town Students Union (MTSU) has condemned the assault on Chingkai. Konyak, President Chen Area Student’s Union allegedly by Police personnel in plain cloths. The release stated that assault on the innocent civilian by custodian of the law was unwarranted and unimaginable. Union stated that case should be investigated thoroughly and at the earliest and award befitting punishment as per the provision of the law.
PMEGP forms for Longleng
DIMAPUR: Functional manager District Industries Sub-Centre Longleng has informed that application forms for Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) would be issued from September 29 to October 1 during office hours. Last date for submission of forms will be October 12.
KSUD freshers meet held
DIMAPUR: General session –cum- freshers’ meet of Khiamniungan Students Union Dimapur was held on September 26 with minister for soil and water conservation, land resources developments P. Longon as chief guest and L. Khumeng, land records and survey officer, dimapur and K. Khumeng, president Khiamniungan Union Dimapur as guest of honour and special guest. Highlights of the programme included invocation prayer by Rev. N. Pomo, welcome address by President KSUD, Speeches, general report presentations, special songs, award presentation and declaration of union constitution and induction of new office bearers for the tenure of 2010- 2011 which was followed by extravaganza session. New team of office bearers included Lusang Sumao as president, K. Shongmao as general secretary and L. Khumeng as advisor to KSUD.
GPS Tssori new village extended
DIMAPUR: Government Primary School Tssori under DID Bhandari dist Wokha had one room constructed under SSA inaugurated on September 22 by Rhyutsemo Ngulli, local Church Pastor. The Pastor said that a Primary school is the foundation of education in human life. Loshithung Yanthan , head in charge presided over the function while others present included Ezanlow Patton VCC, Yambo Yanthan GB, Teachers and VEC members.
KDCSU to guide rural farmers
DIMAPUR: To help and guide rural farmers to re-track modern farming technologies, a new venture to rural farmers- Kohima District Co-operative Societies Union (KDCSU) was formed endorsed by All Nagaland Co-operative Societies Federation. According to the newly formed union general secretary, Mohokiya Apon the KDCSU has decided to fully support All Nagaland Co-operative Societies Federation for the betterment of the general public and well being of the future.
Refresher prog on communitisation
DIMAPUR: The Deputy Inspector of Schools Tseminyu has informed all concerned schools that there will be a refresher programme on communitisation, Mid-day meal and SSA from October 7-8 at EBRC hall at 11 am at Tseminyu. All VEC /WEC chairmen, secretaries and one woman representative under the establishment have been directed to attend the meeting.
ACP visitation programme held
DIMAPUR: ACP (AIDS Competence Process) visited PNF and DNP+. The support visit programme was held at NEDHIV Conference Hall on September 18 and 19. The programme was supported by UNAIDS-SIDA and facilitators were from PNF and CHAN, Mizoram. 18 members from PNF, DNP+, NEDHIV, Kekhrie Foundation, AIDS Prevention Society, Assam (APS) participated in the programme.
