NMSA and IRCS conduct medical camp

A one-day medical –cum-blood donation camp was held at Dhansiripar on September 26 with MLA & Advisor Sericulture and Co-Operation Azeto Zhimomi as chief guest. The camp was organized by Nagaland Medical Students Association (NMSA) in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Dimapur and Nagaland State AIDS Control Society. A team of specialist doctors along with residential doctors and interns were present during the camp. General Secretary, NMSA, Abangdi Jamir informed that the camp was held successfully with a large number of people turning up for the camp and a good number of medical students donating their blood at the camp. Earlier, Commissioner and secretary family welfare Menukhol John graced the NMSA general conference as chief guest on September 25. Nagaland Medical Students Association has expressed gratitude to minister for health and family welfare Kuzholuzo and the department for donating a sum of Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 80,000 respectively and also thanked Azeto Zhimomi for donating Rs. 10,000. NMSA also thanked Dr. Temsu, Dimapur Civil Hospital and his assistant for making the blood donation camp a success.
