North East First Thai outlet in Dimapur

Dimapur will have the distinction of having the first Thai outlet in Northeast as Commercial Councellor of Royal Thai Embassy Tharadolo Thongruang cuts the red ribbon on September 30. “Smart Shop 108” - India’s first convenience chain store with 5000 fmcg products and additionally a wide collection of garments and accessories has been added to cater to the North Eastern Market. Fifty percent of this product mix is imported, and another fifty percent are domestic. Dimapur will be the seventh city in the country to join this prestigious and popular chain. In view of the popularity of Thai products in the region, the outlet will display and sell wide range of Thai products making it first official Thai outlet in the region. The outlet will be opened at K.E. Complex, A3-A5, Nagarjan Police point. The Thai Diplomat will open the outlet at 2 pm on September 30 along with Surjit Singh, Director, Smart Shop 108 Pvt Ltd. The outlet is the brainchild of young lady entrepreneur Hollika Sema. The opening of this branch is made in accordance to the company’s policy to open new branches every year to provide convenience to shoppers in India, the suburbs, and the big cities. The store uses self-service policy making sales at the counter only. Smart Shop 108 has constantly improved its service which can be seen over its 2 year performance in India. It may be mentioned here that Thailand products have made a great impact in North East India after the participation of Thailand under the banner of Department of Export Promotion, Royal Thai Govt. in International Guwahati Trade Fair and Int’l Shillong Trade Fair (organized by Industries and Trade Fair Association of Assam, NE Region.)
