A team led by NPCC president KV Pusa, vice president Nillo Rengma (Ex- MLA) Yangkithan general secretary, incharge of frontal organization, Kutovi (ex –Minister ) , Silanthan Lotha ( Ex-MLA) gen secretary NPCC Aheto general secretary Yana Konyak , secretary NPCC Bittu secretary NPCC , David secretary NPCC , Tarie MLA and Wizabo secretary toured Peren on September 25.
They were welcomed by DCC, ACCCs, MLAs, PCC members, frontal chiefs and party workers upon arrival. KV Pusa in his address said Congress was a national party, the oldest and strongest in the country. He said unlike other parties the Congress was a secular party which accommodated one billion citizens, irrespective of creed and caste. The PCC chief said the Congress in Nagaland is also very strong and there are no divisions or disunity in the party. Nillo Rengma in a similar vein dismissed reports of disunity in the party. He said that PCC leader and CLP leader Chingwang Konyak were capable leaders and no challenged o disputed their leadership. PCC leaders reiterated their stand that the Congress would never go against the interest of the Nagas and said they expect a honourable and acceptable solution for all sections of Nagas as they would never go against any group or faction as they were all Nagas.
Congress Party of Peren district urged PCC chief on the urgent need for black topping the road from Shoxuvi to Mhainamtsi and old Jalukie to Peren District HQ and proper implementation of NREGA schemes.
Earlier, The meeting was chaired by DCC president Heling Zeliang and welcome speech was delivered by Joshua DCC executive member while Kerangau, ACCC 7 Peren president offered the vote of thanks.
