PMEGP for Phek district DIMAPUR: General Manager DIC, Chozuba has informed interested applicants-class VIII passed and 18 years of age as on May 1and above to collect Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) 2009-2010 for Phek district during office hours. Forms for Chozuba will be issued from industries-DIC Chozuba and to be submitted to DIC Chozuba while the form for Pfütsero, Chizami, Meluri and Phek will be issued from industries, Sub-DIC, Phek to be submitted at industries, Sub-DIC, Phek, Khadi E.O. NKVIB Chozuba. JD (U) new vice president DIMAPUR: Janata Dal (United) Nagaland has appointed former chairman of state NCP Indian overseas department T.P Yaeih Konyak as senior vice president of JD (U). The JD (U) party has welcomed Yaeih to the party and expressed hope that his joining will strengthen the state JD (U). RJD 41 A/C meeting held DIMAPUR: RJD 41 A/C Tizit Unit executive meeting was held on September 21 where former candidate Peiwang explained the political situation in the centre and the state. The RJD executive meeting minutes was explained by state joint secretary Menlem for the development and strength of the party, he also said that the party was happy to learn that a joint meeting of the state and Ashok Singh secy general RJD New Delhi took place in Dimapur for development of the party. Intl Day of Older Persons in Peren DIMAPUR: International Day of Older persons was observed in Town Hall Peren on October 1, jointly organized department of social welfare, medical and district administration. CDPO Peren Shiyao Konyak addressed the gathering gave away the ‘Life time achievement award of Rs 3000 to Rev Deuhing Nsarangbe of Benreu village and GOOd Mother award of Rs 3000 to 93 years old Keringle Peren village. This was followed by a free medical check up in the District Hospital. The Benediction was done by Rev Deuhing Nsarangbe who was born in 1918 has 11 children, 45 grandchildren , 30 great grandchildren, a total of 86 heirs and is still active in the ministry. Poumai day observed in Dimapur DIMAPUR: Dimapur Poumai Day was celebrated on September 23 at 5th mile, Dimapur organized by Poumai Hoho Dimapur. The celebration was graced by Naga Hoho, publicity and information secretary, C. Daipao as chief guest. According to a press handout by Poumai Hoho Dimapur general secretary, Hrilounii Duo the programme started with a invocation by Rev. Maikho Ruh pastor PBCD while the welcome address was delivered by president Poumai Hoho Dimapur, Lokho Chaomai. The solidarity speech was delivered by Punii Madoli, brief history by Dai and the vote of thanks was proposed by general secretary Poumai Hoho Dimapur, Hriilounii Duo. Rev. Thaongaolou delivered the benediction. RJD office bearers resign DIMAPUR: Five office bearers have resigned from RJD 57th Thonoknyu AC. According to release issued by P Heno vice president RJD 57 Thonoknyu the members in a meeting held on September 15 decided to join the NPF. The members include Mongtsoa VP Tuensang, and CP Heano president, H Heno VP, Koathsi VP and Tsongtsa all from 57th Thonoknyu AC. GBFN Souvenir Committee meet DIMAPUR: Convener of the village chiefs /GBs Federation Silver Jubilee Souvenir Committee has convened a meeting on October 15 at 11 am at the residence of the convener to discuss printing of the souvenir. Village chiefs GBs federation will attain 25 years of its formation on December 14. All souvenir committee members have been requested to attend the meeting. Free medical camp in Changtongya DIMAPUR: A free medical camp for above 65 years of age was observed in commemoration of “International day of elders” at CHC Changtongya. More than 126 elderly were given free treatment by specialists including Dr. Mar from Mokokchung, SMO Dr. Marina Yaden, MO Dr. Rachael. Some others present in the camp include Changtongya SDO (C) Chubawati Chang, Changtongya Town Council chairperson P. Toshi Jamir, and CHC chairman HCMC O. Shilu Jamir and staff of CHC. NCRC P.R. Hill Bible camp DIMAPUR: NCRC, PR. Hill held a vocational bible camp for Junior C.E and intermediate on September 27 and 28 at Directorate of Land Resources office conference hall, New Secretariat Complex. Resource persons were Khriezetuoü, Ayobo and Seno, Superintendent Child Evangelism Ministry. 74 children attended the camp where campers presented special numbers. DSBC children’s rally DIMAPUR: Dimapur Sümi Baptist Church (DSBC) conducted a three day children’s rally on the theme ‘Jesus Cares’ from September 25 to 18. The rally was conducted for five class categories including beginner, primary, junior, intermediates and seniors. 1134 children participated in the rally. The speakers for the rally were Christ community church Chumukedima Pastor Robert Kikon, Ebenezer children’s home proprietor Akumdong, DSBC children pastor Esther Chishi and associate children pastor Atoholi K. Assumi. The church has further acknowledged all contributors who extended help for the success of the rally. It also thanked the speakers, board of deacons, 38 Sunday school teachers and parents for extending every possible help for the growth of children ministry. Leo Club attends 322D conference DIMAPUR: Members of Leo Club of Dimapur attended the 29th annual district conference of Leo District 322D held at Hotel Nandan, Guwahati on September 27. District President Leo Nownit Ajmera of Leo club of Dimapur distributed the annual awards of dist for the leoistic year 2008-09. Leo club of Dimapur bagged 7 awards, the highest number of awards in various categories. According to PRO of club, Leo Ricky Jain the awards included outstanding president, Leo Pankaj Jain, secretary, Leo Vicky Jhanjhari, PRO, Leo Ricky Jain, editor, Leo Vicky Chhabra, best project, SRS Table Tennis tournament, Best Club in Administration and Leo Vicky Jhanjhari was awarded the best office bearer of Leo District Council. Jalukie town NPF unit meet held DIMAPUR: Veterinary colony (Ward No.2) Jalukie Town NPF Unit held a public meeting on September 19 at the residence of Ado, president, Peren district women wing NPF. The meeting deliberated for well functioning of the Party in the unit and house re-affirmed its support to chief minister Neiphiu Rio, Dr. Shurhozielie, president NPF(C) and T.R. Zeliang, minister for planning & coordination, P.A, evaluation, veterinary and animal husbandry. The house further welcomed newly joined NPF in the ward from Congress-I resolving to maintain equality in any matter and also invited other party-men to join the NPF under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio. PGSU NU (L) XII campus parting social DIMAPUR: The XII varsity campus parting social was held on October 1 on the theme “Akme Epokhe” with Prof. Pardeshi Lal, dean School of Sciences, NU Lumami as chief guest. Prof. Pardeshi Lal said students should stand firm for the truth and work accordingly under no pressure. The programme was led by Sunjemmongla. Rongsenienla EU prayer secretary, NU (L) invoked Gods presence while Vikazhe President of PGSU (L) gave welcome address. Out going president, S. Imkongtiba, exhorted the students especially, to the new PGSU (L) team.
