The federal general assembly of Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) in its four point resolution pertaining to the affairs of Zeliangrong people in the Northeastern states of Assam, Manipur, Nagaland and elsewhere resolved to officially include the Inpui cognate tribe in the constitution of Zeliangrong Baudi with reference to the resolution adopted on the Zeliangrong People Convention 2007 at Jalukie Nagaland. The four point resolution was taken at a general assembly convened by Baudi at Tamenglong on the September 30 with members representing from all three states, Zonal units, Women organisations,Youth, students, Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Inpui Naga Councils, advisors and former presidents of the Zeliangrong people organisation who attended the Assembly. Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) has resolved to re-affirm the declaration of 2007 ZPC Convention, Jalukie Nagaland, Resolution number 1 where Zeliangrong Baudi was formally declared and adopted to be the name of the Central Apex body of Zeliangrong and Inpui in the whole of Northeastern states. The house expressed dissatisfaction over the recent undesirable development which might further complicate and disturb the unity, integrity and solidarity of the Zeliangrong & Inpui. Further the house reasoned and opined that the proposed convention failed to obtain the mandate of the whole Zeliangrong people. Taking note of the decision of the Zeliangrong Baudi (N) to refrain from participating in the proposed convention and of the Zeme Council NEI to dissociate themselves from ZU. Subsequently, the house unanimously decided not to participate in the said convention in the interest of all the Zeliangrong public. The house further resolved to continue to extend all possible relief to the displaced and victimized Zeliangrong community caused by ethnic conflict in N.C.Hills Assam. Further the house voiced that, the ceasefire agreement signed between the Dimasa outfits and Govt. of India was appreciable and welcomed so as justice, peace and harmony in the region was restored. President. Ningtangpou in his Presidential address stressed that all the Zeme, Liangmai, Rongmei and Inpui should be well accommodated in the fold of one family without discrimination in any manner. He suggested that the proposed convention 2009 Tamenglong be reconsidered and postponed to some other time. The revival of ZU after Months of declaration and adoption of Baudi (AMN) at the Zeliangrong People convention at Jalukie town Nagaland was an unfortunate for which he urged and appealed to the general public not to be confused or disturbed but to adhere to the decision and principles adopted at the convention 2007 and to uphold the age-old traditional way of the Zeliangrong people’s organisation.
