A new treasury office inaugurated was inaugurated on September 30 for treasurer NPF party for 23rd Impur Constituency, Longrimoa Jamir, a retired government servant. According to a release issued by Sashimeren, President 23rd Impur A/C, NPF, Longrimoa Jamir was formally appointed at Kobulong, Range EAC headquarter which was attended by the representatives from all units as well as party officials from Central office and Division in the area.
The formal flag hosting was performed by Aolepden, Ex-MLA, the present divisional president of Mokokchung district. Those who spoke included Huska Yepthomi, senior vice president (NPF Central) in-charge of Mokokchung district, Obangla, vice president (Central) women wing, Imtiyanger ex-MLA, general secretary (central), T.N. Mannen, advisor NPF-cum-CEC, 23rd Impur A/C and many other Officials from the division.
Most of the speakers shared their valuable political wisdom, the changes taking place as well as the achievements of the present DAN government under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio in all fronts namely political, economic, social activities in comparison with the earlier regimes.
Another area of concern that was deliberated were the negative impact of village politics, village group voting prevalent in the constituency counteracting democratic principle of choosing the best by the popular votes, and to be part of the fast changing progressive society.
