NNC cautions against ‘non-accordists’

Naga National Council (NNC) today cautioned business community, general public and state government offices not to entertain “extortionists” in the name of NNC “non-accordists.” NNC central finance committee, in a press note here Wednesday, said that it has been notifying business community and public that some “impostors, most probably the renegades, defectors or hooligans” were operating especially in Kohima and Dimapur in the name of NNC called “NNC non-accordists” collecting taxes from business community and public. “Such people are taking the advantage of Non-Violence stand of the NNC at this situation of political crisis in the Naga Homeland,” VN Angami of NNC central finance committee said. Further, it advised all responsible to arrest and punish such extortionists severely instead of entertaining them. The NNC also cautioned that it would not be held responsible for anything that might happen to such people pertaining to “this serious matter of extortion in the homeland.” Meanwhile, the central finance committee of the NNC has provided numbers 9612173660, 9615064827, 9436249215, 9862111725, 9862378836 for information in this matter.
