Kyong Hungjantaren Ekhung (KHE),Wokha has expressed shock on learning that lecturer of political science in Mt Tiyi College, Wokha, Muluvoyi Kotso had been “willfully” out of station attending only 11days for academic session.
KHE chairman, Y. Likhao Humtsoe and KHE general secretary Dr. Limhathung Jami in a press communiqué alleged that Muluvoyi used to attend classes in an ‘inebriated state’ making it difficult for the college authorities and his students to communicate with him, adding that students have been facing hardship due to his “irresponsible behaviour” and ‘continual absence’. KHE further appealed to authority to take stern action so that children do not suffer under ‘irresponsible teacher’ wherever they may be posted. It also urged the authority to immediately replace the lecturer so that students could appear their forthcoming examinations. KHE further stated that lecturer would be would be held solely responsible for political science results. Meanwhile, KHE said it would be monitoring the progress taken by Higher Education Department on a daily basis.
