Minister for Health and Family welfare, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu said the need of the hour for Chakhesang Community was quality education. Speaking on the occasion of the social gathering cum freshers meet for Chakhesang Students’ Union Dimapur held at Town hall Dimapur on Saturday,
Elaborating on the theme ‘Strategic Awakening’ the minister opined that Chakhesang community should used the strategies for unifying all Chakhesang people residing in Dimapur and asked his people not to blame the destiny for what ever happened or happens and called upon the students to work harder. Azo also urged the community leaders to be more committed in their task in shaping the society. The health minister further disclosed that the Phek district legislators has been contributing 2 lakhs each every year and has set up superb coaching centre in Kohima to give platform to the Chakhesang people in prepare for premier competitive examinations so as to nurture more bureaucrats among the community.
Azo exhorted the students to work hard during the college days instead wasting their time and the parent’s resources so that they could reap a rich harvest later in life.
While exhorting the people of the community he called for removal of idleness and laziness from the society and be united as one to bring more and more development among the Chakhesangs.
Mese Kapfo president, Chakhesang Students’ Union Dimapur while delivering his presidential address asked the students imbibe and go for quality education instead of acquiring just the basic knowledge. He further urged the students to work hard and take the right choices in discerning the right path. Others who spoke on the occasion including Zavesayi Medeo, Chakhesang Hoho president, Medovoi Medeo president DNSU and Atsou Koza on behalf the freshers.
The social gathering cum freshers meet also witnessed mesmerizing numbers from Patkai Christian College, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Dimapur and a folk song from Toulazouma area.
