Security ID cards for press

A committee headed by L. Singsit IPS, DIG(R/NAP) as convenor, P. Kikon IPS, CO 13 (IR) Bn as member-secretary; members - Limawati Ao Joint Director I & PR and Mhalezolie president of Kohima Press Club approved issuance of a common computerized security ID cards to members of the state press fraternity. The proposed ID card would come in two colors: for working journalists/reporters and the other for press members who are not journalists/reporters but supporting staff/functionaries of the media/press. The ID card would be valid for three years. The particulars for obtaining the security ID cards would be filled up by the applicants and submitted through the respective district press club presidents, who are designated as authorized signatory and who would also scrutinize details of each forms. The forms would then be forwarded to the convenor of the committee and the cost for the card would be borne by the applicants. The card would bear the Nagaland State Logo and the Nagaland Police department emblem and issued under the signature of DGP Mr K.Kire IPS.
