Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM) organized a three day retreat for the youth of Tuensang- Mokokchung region at Queen Mary,s Church, Mokokchung from August 28-30.
Speaking on the occasion Rev. Fr. Anto, director NCYM said, to have an experience of God, one had to reconcile with God and each other. Experience of God’s love enabled one to reconcile leading to experience peace, he added.
Rev. Fr. Francis C.S, from Shamator enlightened the youth on God’s love, consequences of sin and repentance and church history. Robert Solo, president of NCYM spoke on the call of God and shared his life testimony, while Victor, representative to NERYC also gave his life testimony.
The parish priest of Mokokchung, Rev. Fr. K.C. James and Rev. Fr. John Latsutho, parish priest of Longleng, exhorted the youth. On the last day of the programme, 16 youth were commissioned to proclaim the word of God where a total of 100 youth from Atoizu, Akuluto, Shamator, Angamba, Tuensang, Mokokchung, V.K Town, Longleng and Zunheboto attented the programme.
