State JD(U) meets Sharad Yadav

A delegation of Nagaland state unit Janata Dal (United) members led by president Mhonjan Lotha, and national council member S. Lima Temjen Ao, with district presidents attended the plenary session of the party on August 31at Mavlankar Hall, Rafi Marg, New Delhi The delegation congratulated Sharad Yadav on being re-elected as National President of Janata Dal (United) and apprised him of the problems faced by the party in Nagaland. They said the election debacle in 2008 was because of the pre-election defection of JD (U) MLAs and office bearers and being without a single district president. They said with the newly elected state and district level office bearers, it would fare better. A release issued by Publicity department of JD (U) Nagaland state unit stated that the delegation told the national leaders of the party and president that they continued to support the people of Nagaland through the alliance with DAN government in the state. The delegation also appealed to the National President JD (U) in support of expediting the ongoing Indo-Naga political talk to bring about an amicable permanent solution to which Sharad Yadav said he would take up the matter in the parliament.
