GMS pre Teachers day Kohima: The pre teachers day celebration of Government Middle School, New Market Area will be held on September 4 at NM Panchayat hall, Kohima with Mhiesizokho Zinyu, adviser, APO as chief guest. Christian Prayer Centre Phek DIMAPUR: Christian Prayer Centre Phek will be observing a 12th monthly prayer meet from September 4 to 6 coinciding with its 1st year anniversary. The meet will be held on the theme ‘Revelation: 22:2’ with Hovikrol Visiting Pastor NCRC and Krosayi, Pastor, Chethe Town Baptist Church. TASU appeal to post EAC DIMAPUR: Tizit Area Students’ Union has appealed the authority in-charge for immediate appointment of Extra Additional Commissioner (EAC) at Tizit as the post had been lying vacant since transfer of previous EAC. A press release by the union president, Mansen Wangyen stated that Tizit being a sensitive area, bordering with Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, had become difficult to execute work by a single administrative officer (ADC). Eight Wokha teachers to receive awards DIMAPUR :DEO Selection committee has selected 8 teachers for the District award ‘09 for rendering meritorious service. Candidate selected for D Pharma course DIMAPUR : The Department of Health and Family Welfare has selected candidates for a two year D Pharma course: Candidates include Wijong Wangbou Chawang, Kenneth Chawang, Y Senthunglo, Nitoho A Sumi, Ajungla Imsong, Chubamongla Aier, Kekiepeu Nza, Nzanthung, Huto Soho, Tony N Swu. DIS Wokha informs on money withdrawal DIMAPUR: Deputy Inspector of Schools, Wokha Solanthung Lotha has informed that all kinds of drawals through VEC /CEC /UEC cheque including monthly salary of staff, SSA developmental works, School grant in aid etc will have to be properly authenticated and countersigned by DIS before withdrawal from SBI Wokha. Chairman and secretary have been directed to maintain school accounts with transparency and accountability to avoid consequences and carry out civil works as per guidelines and instructions. Fund misappropriation will entail stern disciplinary action and the matter will be brought up before the District Level Committee for necessary action. TASU sports cum literary programme DIMAPUR: Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) 1st inter-school sports meet cum literary programme will commence from September 22-25, on the theme ‘Zero to Zenith’. Medical cum relief camp DIMAPUR: Dorians Society Dimapur would be conducting a medical cum relief camp on September 5, for the displaced families of N.C.Hill ethnic violence, at Jalukie from 10.30am to 4pm. Inauguration of khadi production unit DIMAPUR: Khadi Production Unit implemented by Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Sangh will be inaugurated by deputy commissioner Dimapur, Maongwati Aier on September 4, at Amaluma village at 11am. The deputy commissioner will also visit Bal Vijay Sewa Kendra at Dhansiripar to interact with SFURTI artisans. MS Dimapur inform on reimbursement DIMAPUR: Dimapur district Medical Superintendent (MS), Sukhato A.Sema has informed all the women who had undergone permanent sterilization operation at the District Hospital, Dimapur to collect reimbursement from the hospital. Naga Kuotsu Union condoles DIMAPUR: The president and all members of Naga Kuotsu Union (NKU) H.O. Kohima have expressed shock and sorrow over the untimely demise of its joint secretary, Heikeding Nanpeung, on August 31. Stating that he was a sincere and a hard working member, the union further expressed condolence to the bereaved family members. Open Bible quest exam DIMAPUR: Written Bible quest exam will be conducted on September 6 at 2 pm at Faith Theological College, Ura Villa colony, Circuit House Area, Dimapur.
