Jamir, Rio condole

Maharashtra Governor S.C.Jamir, and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio were among Naga leaders who expressed condolences on the death of Dr.YSR Rajashekhara Reddy. In his message, Dr S.C.Jamir said that YSR as he was popularly known, was “a gem of a person and widely acclaimed for providing a pro-poor and progressive administration”. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Andhra Pradesh, the family members of the late Y.S.Rajashekhara Reddy and to the families of the other victims of the helicopter crash. Neiphu Rio Expressing shock at the tragic death of Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Rajashekhara Reddy in a helicopter accident, Nagaland chief minister Neiphu Rio described Rajashekhar Reddy as a tall leader and a man of mass and that in his death a curtain has been drawn in Andhra politics. Offering condolences to the bereaved family, Rio said that it would be very difficult for the people of Andhra Pradesh and his family members to come to terms with such an untimely death. Chingwang Konyak Leader of the Opposition Chingwang Konyak said that late YSR Reddy was a dedicated worker who worked for the downtrodden people. His death would be felt by all sections of people particularly the people of Andhra Pradesh, he said. Dr. Shurozelie NPF president Dr. Shurozelie expressed deep shock over the untimely death of YSR Reddy, whose life symbolized an epitome of dedication and sincerity towards the cause of the people of the country. Dr. Shurozelie said the people of Andhra Pradesh and the country as a whole have lost a tall leader who had much to contribute to his state as well as the nation. I Imkong Former leader of the opposition I Imkong said he has lost a good, trustworthy and reliable friend and it would be difficult to overcome this shock for a long time. He said that late YSR was an astute statesman and parliamentarian and had a strong, unending love and concern for the people of his state in particular and the nation in general.
