The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland achieved another milestone with the inauguration of a Culture and Sensitivity Laboratory, under the Microbiology Unit at Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima. The laboratory was inaugurated by Menukhol John, Commissioner and Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department on Friday.
Dedicating the services of the laboratory to the people of Nagaland, the Commissioner and Secretary said that the State has attained the status of decisive diagnosis in health services. He also emphasized on the department’s willingness to share the new facility with private clinics and hospitals to enhance the quality of health care delivery for the benefit of the public.
The centre is the outcome of dedicated labour by the faculty in-charge, Dr. Margaret Yhome with full support and encouragement received from the Health Minister, the government and the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare.
