Tikhir Students Union (TSU) has flayed Eastern Highway Star (EHS) coordinator for barring contestants Pentsu Tikhir and Lincy Tikhir from participating in the first round at Tuensang, basing on the ground that Tikhir was not an official tribe. Drawing attention of the statement issued by the EHS coordinator, Tsali that appeared in a local daily on September 11, TSU has asked the coordinator to furnish genesis of Tikhir with proof and evidence if Tikhir was not an official tribe as alleged by him. Asserting that Tikhir had its own history, culture, custom and tradition, Tikhir Students Union general secretary K. Asuthong and vice president Jong Yanthung in a press statement has sought “unconditional apology” from the EHS coordinator within seven days from the date of publication of this release.
