State RJD president Khetovi today slammed the idea of Naga Common Platform while former RJD candidate Inashe termed it as “superfluous body.” Addressing a press conference here, attended by RJD national general secretary and Northeast in-charge Ashok Singh, RJD executive member Jongshilemba said Naga problem was not a social or economical but a political one. Meanwhile, claiming party’s success in the last by-elections, RJD leader Ashok Singh termed it as a morale booster, and added that party needed revival in the state. To a query about party’s preparation for the forthcoming elections, Singh said the main aim of RJD was to tie up with secular parties like the Congress and defeat BJP. Slamming state chief minister Neiphiu Rio for his “autocratic ways”, Singh said there was a “complete system failure” with no bureaucratic and ministerial setup.
