DC Kohima on ‘public nuisance’

Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Beiu Angami has stated that ‘public nuisance’ created by construction of temporary/make-shift toilets, stacking of firewood, stones, dumping of garbage and loose soil over drainage and on the roads that is both national and state highways was being viewed very seriously by the government. In this connection, public have been notified to “immediately dismantle” and clear all nuisances, failing which structures/materials shall be demolished and cleared and seized by authorities besides taking necessary legal action against the defaulter(s) as per provision of law.
