After rejecting the 2001 census for Nagaland, alleging that it was full of bogus citizens, including illegal immigrants, the DAN government has now called a consultative meet on September 30 in Kohima to discuss the census to be conducted in 2011. Official sources said the consultative meet would be addressed by chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and attended by all the legislators of the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly at the Zonal Council Hall, Kohima, according to UNI. The government has also invited two representatives each from the Naga Hoho, Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organization (ENPO), all the Tribal Hohos, Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF), Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) and Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) to take part in the consultation. The DAN government has become cautious for the 2011 census and all precautionary measures were being taken to ensure that the Census 2011 emerged with correct figures for Nagaland.
