In a strongly worded appeal, the Eastern Naga Students Federation on Tuesday urged all state government employees posted to areas covered under its jurisdiction to judiciously work for the benefit of the general public. ENSF Speaker Throngso Yimchunger, in his appeal cautioned that the ENSF will take stern action against the erring officers and staffs as per the September 8 2009 resolution of ENSF. He also asked the government employees to remain stationed at their respective places of posting and perform their duties in a specific manner for the people of Tuensang, Mon, Longleng and Kiphire.Throngso said ENSF has come to learn that most of the government employees were frequently out of station and remain in Kohima and Dimapur, which he said, was causing a lot of problem for the people of rural areas. He said the ENSF will undertake surprise checks on any information or complaint received on employees playing truant. The federation has also asked to all the federating unit presidents to conduct checks in government offices within their jurisdiction and report to ENSF head office for necessary action in the interest and welfare of the society. In this regard, the ENSF also appealed to the higher authorities to take serious note of the matter and ensure that employees remain in their respective places of posting. The ENSF warned that, if the authorities failed to accedes to their demand it would be compelled to resort to its own course of action against those erring officers and staff under the ENSF jurisdiction.
