Watsu Mongdang cautions inebriated women in Mokokchung

Watsü Mongdang, the apex body of Ao Women Organisation has expressed concerned over the “disgraceful act being committed by some mothers and young girls” who the Watsü Mongdang said, were in the habit of roaming at night without proper clothes in Mokokchung town under the influence of alcohol. Watsü Mongdang warned that it would, henceforth, act tough against those women who bring shame to Watsü Mongdang. Expressing shock over the reported arrest of such mothers and young girls lately by the Police in the town, Watsü Mongdang deeply regretted that it was a shameful act and reflected badly on Watsü Mongdang. Having learnt that such cases were on the rise, Watsü Mongdang leaders meet the Women Police department and enquired those arrest made by the police. A joint press release issued by the Watsü Mongdang President Dr. Arenla Walling and Watsü, Moala Imsong stated that any women arrested under the influence of alcohol would find their names with particulars published in the news papers.
