CLP calls on Governor

To fete Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar Sinha after assuming office as new Governor of the state, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) led by its leader Chingwang Konyak today called on state governor at Raj Bhavan, Kohima. At the meeting with the Governor,the CLP expressed confidence that under his guidance Nagaland would experience a positive change in the delivery system of providing development and progress in the interest of public, parliamentary secretary to CLP C Apok Jamir said in a press note. Highlighting an overview of situation in Nagaland, the Congress leaders expressed concern over alleged financial irregularities prevalent in many departments and stressed on the need to streamline the system so that people in rural areas were not deprived of their share of development. Further, the CLP members also expressed happiness that the Governor was concerned about the Naga political issue and the desire of Prime Minister in resolving this issue at the earliest. The press note stated that the meeting was cordial with members pleased with governor’s positive response.
