NREGAS action committee: Member of action committee National Rural Employment Guaranteed Act (NREGAS) Nrubemo Kithan of Yikhum village, Wokha has expressed gratitude to Wokha administration, organisation, council and general public of Wokha town for rescuing him from the hands of a kidnapper allegedly by Major S.Y Lotha (IM) Lotha Region. Nrubemo alleged that he was kidnapped for no “reason or rhyme” and kept him in the kidnapper’s custody for more than six hours on October 20 at Wokha town. He also stated that he was elected as member of action committee to find out misappropriation of NREGAS in Yikhum village. Further, Nrubemo expressed gratitude to Kyong (Lotha ) Hoho, Kyong (Lotha) Eloe Hoho for their timely negotiation, police department, Wokha council and public Wokha town for pressurising (IM) group led by major S.Y Lotha for releasing him. ASU: The Angami Students’ Union of Kohima College, Kohima Science College and St. Joseph’s College have thanked everyone who contributed physically, financially and morally during the recently concluded 1st Combined sports day at Kohima Science College on October 17. The members have especially thanked Khrieketoulie Medom, Jimmy Rio, NAYO, Angami GB Union, ASU and APO for their support. LCYA: Lotha Catholic Youth Association (LCYA ) has expressed gratitude to the four parishes of Wokha, Lakhuti Sanis and Bhandari for their support and concern and Samuel Patton, Hachio Patton for funding the expenses of the two day parish tour of LYCA office bearers parish tour from October 10 to 11.The tour was held in view of the forthcoming 31st LYCA conference scheduled to be held in Lakhuti from January 15 to 17, 2010. Revenue office, Kohima: Convenor, Working Committee and Revenue Officer, Kohima, Kovi Meyase has thanked all Government Departments and individuals who had detailed their trucks/tippers/JCBs for mass social work in Kohima on October 16. Trucks/Mini trucks and tata mobiles were detailed by Departments of PHED, Medical, Veterinary, DEF, SCERT, Power (EE & CE), PWD (Mech), Urban Development, Soil, NH-61, Fisheries, PHQ, Women Development, School Education, Commissioner’s Office, KMC, Home Guards, DIG (NPTO) and PHQ(Int). Urban Development Department had also detailed two JCBs for the social work. Convenor has specially thanked all individuals, Tsukuonuo Rio, Mengutuo Rio, Viyalie Angami, Viu Belho, KC Angami and Mezielietuo Nakhro, who voluntarily donated their privately owned trucks/tippers/JCBs for the mass social work. 39 heavy duty vehicles, including 33 tippers/trucks and six JCBs were utilized for successful implementation of social work. Phaipijang village: Phaipijang Village Council has expressed gratitude to Dr.P.Jami, Dr.Kevi Meyase and Dr.Thangmang Thomsomg for their contribution in conducting Free Medical Camp organized by PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd at Phaipijang village on October 10. The council stated that the camp benefited Phaipijang and surrounding residents who were mostly from poor economic background and were not able to consult doctors as desired. The council also expressed appreciation to PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd., participants, helpers, organizer and medical specialist for their tireless contribution. PSUK: Phom Students Union Kohima (PSUK) has appreciated parliamentary secretary RD & REPA S Pangnyu for gracing the occasion as chief guest on the 19th freshers meet on October 10. It also expressed gratitude to all the participants, students, NGOs and members of the PSUK for making the event a success. KCCI: Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has expressed gratitude to Kohima Business community for taking part in the Kohima mass social work organized by the Government of Nagaland on October 16. A release by the KCCI also requested all shop owners to open their shops till late evenings mentioning shoppers’ grievances due to traffic congestion and time limit. It also informed all shop owners to get their stock to meet the requirements of the public for the upcoming festive season. TVFC: Thipuzumi Village Farmers’ Community (TVFC) under Chozuba sub-division has expressed gratitude to Director of Agriculture in selecting the village for National Water Shed Development Project for Rain-fed Area (NWDPRA) and as Organic Farming Village. The farmers community said the initiatives taken by the department for the welfare of farmers have revitalized and renewed interests of farmers. They also said that more than 130 households have benefited as a result of NWDPRA scheme. NPF 2 Dimapur II A/C (youth wing): NPF 2 Dimapur II A/C (youth wing) has expressed gratitude to chief guest MLA. Azetho Zhimomi , Guest of honour chairman DMC Khekaho Assumi and home minister Imkong L Imchen , MLA Dr Nicke Kire, NPF central youth president Kakuto Shohe and DMC members of Dimapur II A/C for their financial contribution. The NPF also thanked everyone who made the ‘Music for Peace’ concert a grand success. DSSU: Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) has expressed gratitude to G Kaito Aye minister of Roads and bridges, Shetoyi Sumi MLA and chairman NHDC for being the chief guest at the cultural regale session on the 35thn general conference. The Union also expressed gratitude to Kitoho S Rotokha the Sumi hoho, SKK, WSH, WSSU, DNSU, elders and seniors for their valuable for their valuable presence. NHA Kohima : Naga Hospital Authority Kohima through a press release by its managing director Dr. L. Angami expressed gratefulness to Life Insurance Co-operation (Govt. of India) Kohima branch for donating two wheel chairs to the hospital’s Naturopathy Deptt and Oncology ward. The release further stated that LIC Kohima branch has helped the hospital even in the past years for which the hospital is very grateful and wished them success in their future. Mangko area public: Mangko area publics have expressed gratitude to the parliamentary secretary for IPR& Eco and statistic Nagaland, R.Tohanba, for initiating and verifying the spot of newly link road construction from Kephor to Kiutsukiur under the NLCPR scheme. According to a press release issued by H.Phungkiu, VDB Secretary Kephor village, the public of the Mangko area have also lauded the contactors, SDO Chessore block, Executive Engineer Tuensang for taking in to right direction and also helping towards the people in various developmental activities in the areas and hoped more development could be carry in the near future for the common lucrative of the society. Meanwhile, the public in the area have also lauded the sincere effort made by the parliamentary secretary for IPR, Eco and statistic Nagaland, for bringing such kind of memorably development to the people. NVSU: Nihoshe Village Students’ Union has expressed gratitude to DIS Aghunato, Kakugha S.Rotokha and colleague for visiting Nihoshe L.P.School on October 14. Union also thanked the DIS on his assurance for better development of the school. Bayavu area pan-chayat: Press Secretary Bayavu area panchayat (women organization), Alice Yanthan in a statement has lauded the work done by Dr. Nchumbeni Humtsoe in bringing to the authorities’ notice about ill effects of unchecked garbage dumping and unplanned/damage drainage system in Kohima. Yanthan also stated the article published on July 9 in local dailies may have caught the eyes of Kohima Municipal Council who promptly cleaned up the garbage. Further Bayavu area panchayat (women organization) lauded the efforts of Bayavu area panchayat (youth organization) who, following the footsteps of KMC, organized social work on July 10 to clean up every corner of the locality. ANSTA Tobu Unit: All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) Tobu unit has extended grateful to the Education Department for providing food grains (Midday-Meal) for school children of the area. A press release issued by P.Taiwang President ANSTA Tobu unit appreciated Additional Director, DIS and his esteem colleagues Tobu for their initiatives by rendering services for welfare of the school students and timely distribution of food grains. KHE: Kyong Hungjantaren Ekhung(KHE) Wokha, through its chairman Y.Likhao Humtsoe and general secretary Dr. Limhathung Jami onbehalf of the citizen of Wokha Town has whole-heartedly appreciated the Tsumang Youth Organisation(TYO) under the leadership of its President T Chenithung Lotha and Secretary Franky Mozhui for the cleanliness drive undertaken for three consecutive days at Wokha Town for the forthcoming Road Show during the Tokhvu Emong Festival, the biggest festivals of the Lotha Community by cleaning the public toilets, market areas, side drains and white washing the Deputy Commissioner’s office compound, Wokha as part of their annual activities for the welfare of the general public. KLH: Kohima Lotha Hoho (KLH) has expressed appreciation to the town commander NSCN (IM) for releasing rival faction ‘corporal’ Yanpothung Lotha of Longsa village unharmed. The ‘corporal’ was caught red handed while extorting money around Kohima town on October 15. A release issued by KLH general secretary EM Lotha said such transparent and judicious decision on the basis of forget and forgive would never be forgotten by the Lothas in particular and the Nagas in general. HRPO: Hoshepu Range Public Organisation has expressed gratitude to Kakugha s Rotokha DIS Aghunato for the tireless efforts in inspecting and touring the school under the establishment. In a press note Khekato V.Zhimomi, Chairman, HRPO said the DIS stressed on implementation developmental works and encouraged the teachers to perform their duties with dedication while imparting quality education. KSCU: Kohima College Students Union (KCSU) has expressed gratitude to Dr. Nickey Kire, MLA and chairman KVIB for sponsoring the medals and trophies for the annual games and sports meet of Kohima College.
