Dzüvürü Porterlane road under state PWD in the state capital might have been neglected for a long time but today the road is not only under construction but turned out to be a perfect example for other colonies to learn. The once neglected, narrow and deplorable road which was the lifeline of the colony and the only road passing through the colony which is under construction is changing the entire face of the locality with active initiation and cooperation of the residents of the colony and the state PWD department. The locality Pancayat, Youth and Women earlier took a resolution that no resident of the locality would obstruct or create any hindrance in the widening of the road. Based on the resolution, the resident of the locality took part in the October 16 mass social work and joining the PWD Department cleared all obstacles and obstruction on the roadside and widened the road in an impressive manner. PWD Department had started the work for widening and soiling of the locality road sometime last month and the work is expected to be completed sometimes by November. Dzüvürü Panchayat Secretary, Shurhovol Naleo on behalf of the Panchayat acknowledged the ward councilor and KMC Chairman Vipopal Kintso and EE South Division PWD (R&B) for their keen initiatives, Working Committee on mass social work on October 16, Women and Youth organization of the locality and the resident of the locality for their active participation in the mass social work and in carrying out the cleanliness and road widening drive. He also acknowledged the active cooperation of those residents who willingly allowed destruction and removal of their property which stood an obstacle or obstruct the widening of the locality road. Further, he acknowledged the deep concerned and personal initiation of the state chief minister Neiphiu Rio in the road construction work and personally inspecting the work on the day when mass social work was held on October 16 last, thereby displaying his concerned and love for the locality. It may be mentioned that, Dzüvürü Porterlane road which is under the state PWD (R&B) had been neglected for the past several years which had drawn much hue and cry from the locality resident earlier. The road is the only lifeline of the locality and the only road that passed through the stretch of the locality, connecting the locality with AG road from near SBI Lirie Branch and Upper Chandmari colony at the other end.
