Later with the intervention of the police, normal traffic was resumed later Friday afternoon. The total blockade along the stretch of the NH-150, Imphal-Ukhrul section severely affected the normal movement of traffic along the route today. The blockade was called by the locals of Yourbung and surrounding villages demanding unconditional and safe release of Ningthoujam Chaoba, an officer of the state tribal development department.
