Hero Honda ‘Safety Corner’ inaugurated

Taking a step forward on its “We Care” programme, Hero Honda Company on Friday launched the “Safety Corner” at its dealership M/s National Automobile, Notun Basti, with DMC member Yangertoshi inaugurating the programme. The safety corner programme was first launched in Delhi in 1999 and was designed keeping in mind the company’s philosophy of delivering safety with the products they manufacture. In this programme, regular safety education is given to all customers at the time of delivery through specially prepared audio and visual aids along with safety courses periodically. It may be mentioned that even the Ministry of Transport had given the stamp of approval for the same. Expressing his views on the programme, chief guest DMC member Yangertoshi said “this kind of programme is right on track with many fatal accidents happening everyday”. At the same time he also added that such kind of programme should reach the grass root level. On the issue of amateur driving, Yanger asserted that it was a matter of great concern. He also pointed out that in some parts of the Northeast where the National Highway runs through, people were more afraid of stray cows than speeding vehicles. “Safety should be given top priority” he asserted. Earlier, the aims and objectives of the programme was elaborated upon by the Territorial Manager (Service), Hero Honda, Gautam Bora. Proprietor, National Automobile, N. Jha also attended the inaugural function along with staff and officials.
