GPS Tuensang celebrates silver anniv

Government Primary School station 11 Tuensang silver jubilee was held on Friday at Tuensang on the theme ‘Learning today, leading tomorrow’ with P. Chuba Chang MLA 53AC Tuensang sadar 1 as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said the declaration of the jubilee was reformation of great success in the history of Naga society in general and “through this silver jubilee celebration let us restore a peaceful environment and also ‘forget and forgiveness’ amongst the society.” Chang also urged to retrospect on the past 25 years and put more effort for the smooth functioning of the school and asked the students to make friends with books and also to maintain discipline which would lead to right direction besides focusing in new technology in the field of educational careers. The chief guest also urged Village Education Committee members and WEC to utilize their power and functions for the betterment of student’s community in particular and people of Tuensang in general. The chief guest also requested the DEO Tuensang to discuss in the DPDB the up gradation to the middle school and said that he would also take up the matter with government. P. Chuba Chang, also asked the DEO, District Inspector of Schools and WEC to provide the mid- day meal to students regularly and also urged upon the people of Tuensang to join hands and cooperate with each other with a common vision of the people. The chief guest also released the history book of silver jubilee. It may be mentioned that, the Government Primary School station 11 Tuensang was established in 1984. DEO Tuensang, Tohoshe Sumi, SIS Tuensang HQ, Peshei Tuensang Town Council member, Nukshi Chairman WEC and Dr. Thridongse former sector president also exhorted the students.
