A six-day free eye camp held at CHC Tuli, organized by District Eye Blindness Control Society and sponsored by Tuli Town Council concluded on October 24. The camp provided treatment to over 200 registered patients on the first day with a team of visiting doctors Dr. Tako, MS Joint Director, NBCP, Dr. Pokim. MS, Dr. Merenla with doctors and staff of CHC Tuli, working tirelessly for entire week providing treatment to the needy of Tuli-sub division and its neighbouring villages as well Naganimora under Mon District and Tamlu under Longleng District. During the week long camp a total of 750 Patients were treated of various eye ailments. Free medicines were also distributed.
Altogether 35 cataract surgeries with IOL were also successfully operated along with 17 minor OD. Meanwhile, Tuli public has expressed gratitude to organizers, District Eye Blindness Control Society, visiting Doctors, Tuli Town Council, staff of CHC Tuli and those who made the week long endeavour a great success.
