Discontented with the response issued by the NPF on the issues raised by it, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) on Sunday stepped up its demand that the NPF-led DAN government make public the voted amount for road shows for the current year. Responding to NPF statement about the road shows, NPCC vice president, Nillo Rengma said the rejoinder carried “no weightage at all” since it only explained and defined the meaning of tourism covering the “misdeeds and financial indiscipline” of DAN government without touching the issues raised by the Congress. The NPCC wondered how the NPF-led DAN government was trying to explain only about the meaning of tourism to the people of Nagaland without any achievement and benefits to the people and added that the NPF need not define the word tourism to cover up their management of finance in the name of road shows. “The DAN government is going to rob state treasury in the name of road shows when development in the state languish,” the NPCC expressed its apprehension.
