Naga Students’ Federation has alleged that the government of Nagaland has temporarily created 113 posts of GP teachers for nine existing Govt Higher Secondary Schools. A joint release issued NSF president Mutsihoyo Yhobu and general secretary Ahito Achumi, addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary and commissioner and secretary School Education, Nagaland stated that they have come to learn through reliable sources that the appointments for the posts were being made without conducting any interviews thus depriving the schools of qualified, loyal and capable teachers. The NSF appealed to the addl. chief secretary and commissioner and secretary school education to put the appointments on hold and conduct an open and unbiased interview through the NPSC. The NSF expressed the hope that the addl. C. S. and Commissioner school education would respond in the larger interest of the educated unemployed youth of the state. It also hoped that such alleged irregularities were not resorted to in future or else the NSF would initiate its own course of action in the name of justice.
