3G to be launch in Shillong and Agartala today

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be launching its 3G (third generation) mobile services today in Meghalaya, and Tripura, a telecom official said today. “We are all set to introduce our 3G services in Shillong (Meghalaya) and Agartala (Tripura),” Chief General Manager Telecom North East-I circle, Vinod Kumar said. The 3G mobile services will be provided for both Post-paid and Pre-paid category in both the state’s capital. After Shillong and Agartala, the state-telecom owned company plans to expand its 3G coverage to Mizoram and other major towns in Meghalaya and Tripura. The BSNL has already rolled out 3G services in other North Eastern states.
