With a view to provide efficient use of energy conservation, Nagaland State Designated Agency under Energy Conservation organised awareness campaign sponsored by Bureau of Energy Efficiency Government of India on November 3 at Don Bosco Youth Centre Wokha.
EE Electrical Wokha, Er. E. Mozhui while giving a brief account of energy conservation said it was not only the duty of government but also responsibility of public to conserve energy.
He also pointed out the unauthorised usage of power line which caused load fluctuation and wastage of energy lead to damage of transformers, the practice of which should be discouraged by one and all. Chief Electrical Inspector Nagaland State Designated Agency, Er. K.T. Wapang Ao gave a brief power point presentation on Energy Conservation Act 2001 and also highlighted some of the activities of the department. Students from various schools and colleges attended the programme.
