NTTU grateful for streamlining taxes

: Nagaland Timber Traders’ Union (NTTU) has conveyed gratitude to Forest Department, Home Minister Imkong L Imchen, NSCN governments and others, for streamlining of taxes with regard to timber and forest produce. Union also thanked Home minister for directing various departments under him to stop taxation at check gates and also ‘GPRN/NSCN’ and NSCN (I-M) government for acceding to demand of NTTU. Further, the union thanked the president and in-charge of district timber associations including Sanyi Dukru (Phek), Thekrupa Soguotsu (Kohima), N John Zeliang (Peren), Husca Zhimomi (Dimapur in-charge)sacrificing their time and energy for the welfare of timber traders and lending unflinching support to NTTU in its fight against rampant taxation. The union also solicited the cooperation of timber traders of Meluri and Kiphire regions for greater understanding among the timbers traders. Meanwhile, union has asked all timber traders to carry requisite documents including transit permit (TP) to avoid unnecessary hassles at check gates.
