Minister for planning and coordination, evaluation, veterinary and animal husbandry and parliamentary affairs T. R. Zeliang on Saturday graced the 5th annual general meeting and general session of Zeliang Officers Association (ZOA) here at the DUDA guest house.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister challenged the officers to broaden their outlook and strive for better tomorrow.
He said time had come to look beyond the present horizon and expand activity and interest with greater zeal and magnanimity, only then people of Zeliang people could progress smoothly.
The minister also stated that as a responsible officers and vanguard of Zeliang people, it was their bounden duty to motivate younger generations, mould them and show them the right path.
The minister said ZOA was the right platform to create awareness on the importance of biodiversity amongst the people and further called for working out modalities that will guide our people in preservation and conservation of our natural resources.
Earlier, ZOA president K. Haralu delivered presidential address while Pausui Zeliang chaired the function. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ratan Kaurinta.
