Venue changed for homeopathy campaign KOHIMA: The two-day state workshop on National Campaign on Homeopathy in Mother and Child care on the theme ‘healthy mother and happy child’ will be held on October 13 and 14. The organizer informed that due to unavoidable circumstances the venue has been shifted to Circuit House, Kohima. On October 13 at 10 am the function will be formally inaugurated by Dr. Chumben Murry, minister for Agriculture as chief guest. Interview for CMCF Kohima postponed DIMAPUR: The interview for Chief Minister’s Corpus Fund (CMCF) 2009-10 under Kohima district which was scheduled to be held from October 12-16 has been postponed to 19-21 due to some unavoidable circumstances. The details of the interview will be made available at a later date, the official bulletin added. PTMK freshers meet DIMAPUR: Annual freshers meet-cum-get together programme of Poumai Tsüdoumai Me Kohima (PTMK) has been convened on October 17 at 10 am at Poumai Baptist Church, Midland, Kohima. Chief Guest for the function will be Principal Mountain View Christian College Kohima P.H John. All students from class 8 and above, church leaders, senior students and well wishers have been informed to attend the programme and union members to reach the venue by 9 am. Capacity building for livestock development DIMAPUR: Capacity building training for all selected beneficiaries under livestock development programme 2008-09 from Dimapur district will be held on October 14 at 10 am at district veterinary office conference hall. Pangsha Old VC plea for doctors DIMAPUR: The Primary Health Centre (PHC) was inaugurated in April 2002 but despite repeated pleas, no Doctor has been posted there. A joint release issued by Pangsha Old Village Council Head GB Nganthai and VDB secretary B Pusho asked the reason why government has deprived the poor and backward people of the area of a doctor. The release made an earnest plea for a doctor to be posted at the PHC for the health of the people on humanitarian grounds. WRTWU Wokha summons WRSU DIMAPUR: In response to the news item ‘WRSU to check teachers’ irregularities’, Wozhuro Range Teacher’s Welfare Union (WRTWU), Wokha has summoned WRSU executive members and presidents of all its confederating units to attend the joint meeting of WRSU and WRTWU on October 20. WRTU chairman, Myamo Patton stated that resolution to summon the executives has been taken in a meeting held on October 8 in order to resolve the issue arising out of the press statement made by WRSU. Bagthy work charge new team DIMAPUR: Work Charge Employee Association, Baghty division in a meeting held on October 6 elected Lumbemo Kithan as president, Nichenthung as general secretary and Anithung as treasurer. Representatives were also elected from each zone.
