Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has expressed dismay over the road condition of NH155 between Mokokchung and Tuensang. A release issued by NPYC secretary i/c Tuensang said that the road which was once “beautiful to travel on” had now become the worst nightmare. Stating that before the DAN government came to power, it took 3-4 hours to reach Tuensang to Mokokchung, it now takes 7 hours to cover the same distance as the condition of the road was going from bad to worse, which may soon lead to the people of Tuensang district being cut off. The release further questioned why the pleas of the people of Tuensang to improve the roads that led to the District HQs of the Changs, Yimchungurus, Khiamnungans and Sangtams has been completely ignored. It said that if the sate government really wanted development in the state, it should consider the demand for a motorable road and not potholes.
