AVBM holds Church leaders’ training

Three day leadership training for Church Leaders under Assam Valley Baptist Mission (AVBM) concluded on October 18 at Nakachari. A total of 150 Church workers from 46 churches under the aegis of AVBM participated in the program. It is pertinent to mentioned that this training program was sponsored by Mission Board of seven churches of Mokokchung Town, Kumlong, Sungkomen, Alempang, Artang, Mokokchung compound and Marep Baptist Church. Rev. Lima, Pastor, Rev. O. Yashi, Pastor and Sentimeren, Associate Pastor of Kumlong, Alempang and Mokokchung Town Baptist Churches respectively were resource persons in the training session. Besides, Meya, deacon of Kumlong Baptist Church and Talinungsang, CYE of Mokokchung Town Baptist Church assisted in the training sessions. The entire sessions touched on Genesis of Baptist denomination, Church Administration and leadership, Giving and Worship, Christian living with other faiths. Assam Valley Baptist Mission (AVBM) is a common Baptist Christian venture initiated by about 28 Baptist Churches mostly independent churches located in the district of Jorhat and bordering with Nagaland in the year 2005. The Mission has a total of 46 churches as on date. Further, Er. Temsu Wathi Ao, President of AVBM has expressed gratitude to resource persons who had spared their time in educating members of its mission and Mokokchung Town Baptist Churches Mission Board for their financial support extended for the training. AVBM also thanked all its ranks and file and well wishers including Nakachari Ao Baptist Church members for their untiring support extended to organise the event at Nakachari.
