Poetry competition DIMAPUR: The Poetry Society (India) will be organising the 4th Nagaland Poetry Competition 2009 on the theme ‘Let us visit the future.’ The competition in English will be open to both students and citizens of Nagaland. Free entry forms can be collected from regional coordinator Poetry Society (India) at Circular Road, Dimapur. WSBAK ‘True love waits’ seminar DIMAPUR: Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Kükhakulu (WBSAK) Youth Department will be organizing a one day consultation on ‘True love waits’ pledge card holder on October 20 at WBSAK centre church Aküvüto. The programme will begin at 9 am with Kheveli Khashepu, youth executive chairperson and Kakeheli Inato DSBA as speakers. Rev Ikuto Jimo , youth secretary WSBAK has extended invitation to all TLW Pledge card holders under WSBAK churches to attend the consultation and to be blessed. SBAK leadership seminar DIMAPUR: Leadership seminar organised by Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu SBAK Aizuto will be conducted on October 24 and 25 at Tourist destination Aizuto (Sumi Christian centre). All executive council members, youth women executive and Board of directors Anderson Theological College have been informed to attend the seminar. There will free registration and accommodation and all seminar papers will be distributed by the organizer. National Adult School annual meet DIMAPUR: The 8th annual meet of the National Adult School Chenwetnyu village will be held on November 7 at 10:30 am at the residence of head instructor NAS, on the theme ‘Strive for Knowledge. ’All 10 instructors, 126 learners of 3 school sectors A, B, and C, in charge of sector schools, SIS Chen , VEC chairman and chairman Chenwetnyu have been requested to attend the programme. Aton Wangnao head instructor will deliver key note address on new programme of national female literacy programme. New enrollment list of above 15 years of age women in own sector will be submitted on that day. KNRSU social meet DIMAPUR: Kohima Nyiro Range Students’ Union (KNRSU) will be organizing its first social meet with Thechamo Ezüng,IPS Special secretary (home) as chief guest on October 24 at 10 am at the Red Cross Complex PR hill Kohima. All members, general public, leaders and officers of Nyiro range have been asked to attend the meeting. Seminar on ginger management DIMAPUR: A one day seminar on post harvest management and marketing of ginger is being jointly organized by CONA international and the State government of Nagaland on October 21 at 9 am at Ganesh Nagar Industrial village, Dimapur. All farmer participants have been requested to report to the DAO office at the Agri rest house Duncan Basti on the afternoon of 20 October. Bus service has been arranged from 7.00-7.30pm from Saramati hotel to Ganesnagar and back, participants have been requested to avail the services. SASRD alumni meet-cum-talent nite DIMAPUR: Alumni association of SASRD is organizing a ‘Alumni meet-cum-talent nite’ on October 20 at 1 pm at the SASRD auditorium NU, Medziphema. There will be a general body meeting at 1pm to elect new office bearers and chief guest will be parliamentary secretary for social welfare and child development Chetisuh Sazo, NEC secretary UK Sangma will deliver foundation day lecture.
