LMHS Jalukie celebrates parents’ day

The L.M. High School, Jalukie celebrated Parents’ Day with S. Chuba Longkumer, BDO Tenning as the chief guest. While speaking during the occasion, Chuba opined that the celebration of Parents’ Day was an occasion to respect and honour the parents whilst it was also an occasion for the parents to reaffirm their responsibilities. He said that a student can obtain comprehensive education by being obedient to teachers and proper guidance by parents. While elucidating that home was the smallest but best institution for education, he said that teachers were appointed either by the government or board in private schools but parents were God’s chosen teachers with a blessed authority to mould the children. Chuba also stressed that in the contemporary, making a child noble was through the medium of constructing rapport through love between parents and children. He pointed out that it was imperative on the part of the parents to identify and understand their children and guide them accordingly. He said that parents should not depend on the teachers alone to built their children but co-operate as former was given more authority and responsibility for the same. Chuba also exhorted the students to be punctual and obedient to parents and teachers and discouraged in involving in immoral activities like smoking, drinking, indulging in drugs and others. Highlighting on the advancement of technology in the present competitive world, he told the students that the world needs only the best of the best.
