Education minister visits Mary Mead Memorial School

Minister for School Education and SCERT, Neiwang Konyak accompanied by L.Temjen Jamir, MLA and advisor NBDA along with officials from the department of education visited Mary Mead Memorial School at Molungyimsen B under Mokokchung district on November 14. A public reception programme was held at the School premises where the minister expressed that Nagas owe much to the pioneer missionaries specially late Dr. Clark and his wife Mary Mead who lifted the Nagas from great darkness through the gospel of Jesus and education. He also lauded the villagers for their effort in keeping the name of the founder of education alive and urged them to contribute more for the cause of younger generation. The minister also assured that department would extend possible assistance for the School. MLA L. Temjen Jamir exhorted the gathering to continue the task left by the missionaries and assured for assistance for the infrastructure development. Later, the School management hosted lunch for the visiting team at Milak River.
