A peace campaign with the Theme ‘Peace a Right of Every Child’ was organized by World Vision India, Mon ADP on November 14.
As part of observing Children’s Day and Child Rights Week this year World Vision India organized a walk for children ‘Walk for Peace’ all across the country. The event intend to create public awareness and sensitize general public across the country to provide children a friendly space where a child can pursue fullness of life with Dignity, Justice, Hope and peace and to exercise their rights.
According to an official bulletin, chief guest Hiazu Meru SDO (C) Mon speaking on the occasion lauded the world vision India for organizing such an event.
‘Every child should know its rights’ said Hiazu Meru and one should stand and advocate the rights of children.
SDO (C) also released a book ‘Strokes of Peace’ which was a part of the campaign stressing peace as a right of every child.
Earlier Moatemsu EAC Mon (S) flagged off the Peace March which started from new site junction to private station, Mon town. The other highlights of the programme were presentation of memorandum to the chief guest and special songs.
The programme was chaired by David Konyak world vision India. A short speech was also given by Nyamto, Principal, Konjong School.
