CUD annual general meet DIMAPUR: The Chang Union Dimapur (CUD) annual general meet would be held on November 21 at the residence of the union treasurer’s residence (Mr & Mrs S. Nakshu), opposite Deputy Commissioner court Dimapur. All union members, house hold heads and college students have been requested to attend the general meet. NBC excommunicates member DIMAPUR: The deacon board of the Nepali Baptist Church Diphupar has excommunicated Joseph Rai from Church membership for a period of 5years on disciplinary ground. According to pastor, Nepali Baptist Church, Diphupar, Ratna Tamang, Joseph Rai was visually impaired “known to preach and sing”. He also stated that during this period, all associations and Churches have been asked to avoid giving Joseph Rai “recommendation as well as opportunities to speak”. NSF 2nd federal assembly DIMAPUR: The second Federal assembly of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has been convened on November 26 from 11 am at Naga Students’ Federation conference hall, Naga Club building. Kelhouneizo Yhome, speaker F/A has requested all the presidents and representatives of the federating units and sub-ordinate bodies to attend the assembly. Meanwhile, the federation has informed that the agenda for deliberation in the federal assembly would be notified in due course of time. ENSUK supports ENSF boycott call DIMAPUR: Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Kohima (ENSUK) has decided to support and collaborate with ENSF boycott call not to participate in the Hornbill festival. A press note issued by Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Kohima president L. Likhase Sangtam and assistant general secretary Yimtsusangla Chang stated that numerous problems “shooting out of various means to exploit the patience” of the Eastern Nagas was uncalled for. Union further lauded the ENSF and urged all to restrain from treating the Eastern Nagas as a ‘half breed’ citizens. Zunheboto PMEGP interview DIMAPUR: Interview for selection of beneficiaries under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) for Zunheboto district under DIC/KVIC/NKVIB has been convened on November 25 from 10 am onwards at the office chamber of deputy commissioner, Zunheboto. In a press note issued by Mhabeni Merry, general manager District Industries Centre (DIC), Zunheboto has requested all the applicants to bring along with them the requisite original documents at the time of interview and that no separate calling letter would be issued. GPS Jakhama room extension KOHIMA: A class room, extension programme for Jakhama Village Government Primary School will be held on November 21 at 9 am. Pastors from Jakhama Baptist Church, Jakhama Catholic Church and Jakhama Christian Revival Church will dedicate the new construction. Further, chairman of Jakhama village education committee, Kevithu Savi, has expressed gratitude to the education for its financial assistance through the SSA. Quami Ekta week observed in Mkg DIMAPUR: Mokokchung observed Quami Ekta Week, the National Integration week from November 19 with a renewed commitment to preserve and strengthen freedom and integrity of the nation. At the inaugural programme, Deputy Commissioner convened a meeting at his office conference hall and administered National Integration pledge to the Officers and staff and also other office employees near DC’s Office. The District Administration had chalked out number of programmes to be held during the weeklong observance. NPF raffle draw postponed DIMAPUR: Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) youth wing central has informed that due to some unavoidable circumstances the date of raffle draw has been postponed to November 28. This has been informed in a press release jointly issued by president and convenor, raffle committee central NPF youth wing. MSU felicitation programme DIMAPUR: Mekokla Students’ Union (MSU) will hold a felicitation programme to honor achievement of individuals from Mekokla village in different fields in December. In this connection, union has set up a steering committee with Shanpen Kikon as convener, Wozamo Odyuo as secretary and Woben Ezung as member. Further MSU has appealed to all citizens of Mekokla to extend cooperation towards the committee. Union has informed all to contact 9856307172 for information. Farmers training held at Kiphire district DIMAPUR: A one-day farmers training cum distribution of winter seeds was conducted by department of Agriculture on November 16 at Mitriki Project, Tuensang Road with AFA Setsuba Sangtam as main resource person. About 45 farmers from Insekiur, Phelongre, Old & New Resethse villages attended the programme and were trained by demonstration on winter crops. The training programme concluded with distribution of winter seeds. Revival, healing crusade held in Jalukie DIMAPUR: Revival and healing crusade was conducted in Jalukie town Local Baptist Church from November 13 to15 on the theme ‘pour out your spirit on us’ with Rev. Lano Longchar as the speaker. Alem and Esther enthralled the congregation in every service through their inspirational songs. According to Pastor, Mongzeung Mpom Jalukie Town Local Baptist Church hundreds of people from neighbouring Church were blessed and healed physically and also accepted Christ. Further, the pastor has expressed gratitude to those who have contributed their time and service at the crusade. CTC cautions road side vendors DIMAPUR: Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) has informed that no vendors would be allowed to carry-out any business along National Highway stretch. In a press note issued by Neichu-u Kuotsu, chairperson Chumukedima Town Council has stated that in of any un-expected accident, the responsible vendor would be solely held responsible and that the order had been passed for the safety and welfare of the public. Further, informed that any person running the business along the National Highway stretch would be doing so at their own risk and responsibility. DIS Kohima inform adhoc employees DIMAPUR: All adhoc employees serving under Deputy Inspector of Schools Kohima have been informed to submit application for extension of service beyond December 31 supported by necessary documents (attested Xerox copy) namely, First Appointment Order, Latest Extension Order, and Government Approval Order (for those who were appointed from 2002 onwards) on or before December 4. Employees who submitted for service extension without Government Approval Order earlier have been further informed to submit the document at DIS Office Kohima. Meet on child related issues DIMAPUR: Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Dimapur has convened a co-ordination meeting on child related issues on November 20 at 1 pm at DC’s conference Hall, Dimapur. Sedevikho Khro, additional deputy commissioner Dimapur and also chairman Child Welfare Committee Dimapur has requested all responsible to attend the meeting.
