KVC, PVC warn on evil practices

Kigwema Village Council (KVC) and Phesama Village Council (PVC) in a joint statement on Monday cautioned the public that it will not tolerate any evil practices within its jurisdiction during the Hornbill festival. The councils stated that the youths of the two villages has been assigned to take necessary action as per the law of the village if anyone was found indulging in such practices during the festival. “Hornbill is an occasion for joyous celebration to bring better understanding amongst all the Naga tribes”, and keeping in view of this the two village councils had a joint emergency meeting to provide conducive atmosphere throughout the celebration, stated the joint released issued by Zapu-o Zhasa, chairman Kigwema village council and Vikekuo-o Zashümo, chairman Phesama village council. The council has also informed all well wishers and participants to take note of the warning and enjoy the celebration in its true and joyous mode to make the occasion a grand occasion.
