Youth leadership and personality development project inaugurated by Hilo Kent, Chairman, Tseminyu Town Council on November 19 is underway at Rengma Students Union conference hall Tseminyu.
The programme is targeted for young women having entrepreneurship potentials and interested in taking the lead role in Self Help Group to spark off micro economic activities at village levels.
The program is being organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Kohima from November18 to December 18 which is also one of the 50 programmes launched through out the country.
The theme of the programme is ‘Empowering Women with Employability and Personality Skills’ which is an important component of National Programme for Youth and Adolescence Development Scheme of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Government of India.
While inaugurating the programme, Hilo Kent exhorted the participants to take lead in business enterprises and called upon the participants to contribute positively by bringing out the locally available products to the front for economic generation and self reliance.
Kent also urged the participants to avail the economic packages offered by the government and have the moral responsibility to carry forward the vision and ideologies for the greater benefit.
The resource persons for the training include John Makhabo District Youth coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kohima, Zavise Rume, training cum research office, SCERT, Nagaland, Rosemary Kent, lecturer, Dr. Benjamin, medical officer, Tseminyu, and Ruokuovikho, Act, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kohima animated the training programme.
The training is for three capsules; the first capsules is targeted on leadership and personality development and Life Skills, second and third capsule will be on awareness on micro finance, training on SHG, vocational or self employment ventures, enterpreneurship, skill development, communication skills.
