KMC directives for Hornbill Festival

:In view of the forthcoming Hornbill Festival commencing from December 1 where many tourists from outside, high profiled dignitaries from the country as well as from overseas have confirmed their participation Chairperson, Kohima Municipal Council, Vipopal Kintso has sought cooperation from the denizens of Kohima by putting up decorations at least a star in their home/buildings, while the Churches, schools, colleges and authorities of public buildings have been requested to execute the same in this connection. The chairman also requested all buildings owners in the main streets and shop to give a face-lift to their buildings/shops and place dust-bin in their premises so people could have easy access to dispose waste materials, at the same time, appealed to the people not to “randomly” throw waste all over but “judiciously” utilize the bins available nearby. Further, the chairman made an appeal to the people not to dispose waste into the community garbage bins in the streets from 6am till 7pm and warned defaulters would be penalized by way of imposing fine. He also requested aall Churches, educational institutions, NGOs and CBOs in Kohima to adhere to directives and to project the city in a worthy light.
