The second historic close door meeting of legislators of the 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly ‘On Naga Political Issue’ took place at the Assembly Secretariat Conference Hall on Thursday. Legislators cutting across party line attended the meeting and share their views and concern on the need for Naga unity and resolving the vexed Naga political problem. The marathon meeting is reported to have lasted for three hours. However details could not be obtained. This was the second meeting last than in three months. Earlier the first meeting on the same issue took place in September. Details of how many legislators attended the meeting remain sketchy. Though when contacted some legislators confirmed few legislators were absent in the meeting due to prior engagements. The meeting was addressed by Speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the Leader of Opposition Chingwang Konyak and several legislators. Meanwhile a highly placed official source told this correspondent that four resolutions were adopted during the meeting. (Correspondent)
